Another week, another Sunday of Year of Projects. That Startitis I talked about last week didn't come to fruition. I bummed myself out when I realized that one of the yarns I wanted to use was in storage. Visiting my storage space is a sad feeling because it reminds me of all of the crap we had to deal with last year: moving in with my mother in law, getting rid of almost all of our furniture and putting most of our books and things in storage. It doesn't help that the storage unit is packed to the gills and trying to find anything in there is an exercise in patience, strength and perseverence.

Instead I went running to the Textured Shawl. It's easy enough. I even found the pattern in my car!! I finally gave it a looksee and discovered that I'm almost done with the darned thing and if I make it my go-to project for a few weeks I'll have another finished object on my hands (or shoulders as the case may be). I've knit through a good twenty rows this week. I'd say another week or two and this thing will be finished. Guess I should find myself some blocking wires.
