I'm around. I just finished a cardigan. I'm questioning whether I have anything interesting to say about knitting anymore. I'm wondering whether I should expand my content to the stuff that I'm living right now: parenting, kids, cooperative preschools, some knitting, succulent gardening, vegetable gardening and multigenerational housing.

Don't get me wrong. I still love knitting. I still love crafting, but with the hard things we've dealt with over the past year it felt a bit disingenuous to pretend like I live in some knitting fantasyland where everything is honky dory.

Last year the boys were both in daylong day care and I had 16 hours a week to write and blog. This year all that time is spent working at our local cooperative preschool, babysitting and parenting.

I've been learning to accept that I don't have all the time in the world. I've embraced this inertia that happens when all your time is spent parenting. We're started doing more things that work with having two active young boys like camping and hiking and swimming. For a long time I felt a lot of frustration that I did not have the energy or brain bandwidth to write. I felt like I was letting myself down and failing, but I'm finally at a point where I don't beat myself up anymore.

So it's time for the blog to reflect more about what I'm actually doing. Sure it's still going to contain knitting, but it's time to talk more about the other things I lurve to do. The navigation and categories are going to start to reflect that. I hope you stay tuned.
