So glad I got that Blue post out of my system. Sometimes you have to acknowledge what's bothering you so that you can move on. Since writing it I've been able to pick up more of my knitting and even cast on for a new project.

I've wanted find the right project to review the Knitter's Pride Bamboo Interchangeable Knitting Needles, but didn't have the right kind of yarn for the needle size I had (I only had one from the knitters pride comby set). It was a size four needle and I wanted to knit something with a soft MCN, preferably from Madeline Tosh or Plucky Knitter. Thankfully my friend came through and gave me a beautiful green skein of Plucky in a beautifuly springy shade of green. The color alone is enough to renew my faith in the world.

Then there was the problem of finding the right pattern. I didn't feel like knitting yet another shawl. I already have the textured shawl, which is in laceweight and judging from how long it takes me to knit a single row on it right now that sucker might not be bound off until 2015. How many things can you knit with a single skein of MCN? Not so many, but I think I found the right pattern to try. I'm not going to name it here because I like a little mystery, but you're more than welcome to click on this to find out. (please not that this is for a friend definitely not for me).

The skein has been wound into a ball, the needles connected to a cable and it's official: I've cast on a new project. It's kind of what I've needed all along. Tackling something new has some sort of strange effect on me; it gives me hope. Better times ahead.
