What I'm Knitting

Chez KnitLuck, I have been enjoying a newfound freedom to knit and have been taking the opportunity to teach myself how to knit socks toe-up using the short row method. I've enjoyed the toe up sock so much that I already memorized the pattern.

You could call me a toe-up sock convert!

I'm surprised because I thought I liked the top-down, heel flap, but the short row toe and heel is so much faster. So much easier. It's brought me one step closer to being as fast and prolific knitter as the Yarn Harlot, at least in my mind. I'd have to make an extra two pairs of arms with my stem cells to even approach the vitesse with which the Yarn Harlot knits -but a girl can dream.

The sock above is merely the beginning of the second sock, which means that I have a full sock to show you.

The Second Sock

The Yarn I Used

I love love love love love this sock. Mainly because I love love love love love this yarn. It's Zitron Trekking XXL. I'm not sure which colorway it is, but you can finda truckload of this brand of yarn at Jimmy Beans' Wool.

It looks like this on the ball:

And For The Finish

Many thanks to the people who recommended Jeny's Surprisingly Stretchy Bind Off. It worked like a charm, even if I did it a little clumsily:

Have you learned a new technique lately? What kind of sock knitter are you? Let me know in the comments!
